Pages render at a fixed 2x scale, so a Letter page (8.5 x 11 inches) becomes a 1224 x 1584 pixel image, about 144 pixels per inch. There's no DPI setting on this tool; for an adjustable scale use PDF to PNG.
A one-page PDF downloads as a single .bmp named after the file. A multi-page PDF downloads as a ZIP named filename_bmps.zip containing page_1.bmp, page_2.bmp, and so on, one image per page.
BMP stores raw pixel data without compression, so a page takes the same space whether it's blank or full of detail, and files are far larger than a PNG or JPG of the same page. If your target software accepts PNG, that format is lossless too at a fraction of the size.
No, one PDF per run; if you drop several files only the first is used. Convert them one after another, or pick the pages you need first with Extract Pages so each run stays small.
No. Every page becomes a flat raster image on a white background, and text becomes pixels, so the BMP can't be searched or enlarged without softening. Keep the original PDF for editing.
Yes, if you know the password: the tool prompts for it when the file loads and then renders the pages normally. A file with an unknown password can't be opened.
No. Rendering happens on a canvas in your browser and the images are packed into the ZIP locally, so the document never leaves your computer. Large PDFs just take longer because your own machine does the rendering.
For lossless output with small files, PDF to PNG; for photos and the smallest files, PDF to JPG; for multi-page fax or scanning systems, PDF to TIFF. BMP mainly makes sense when a legacy application or device insists on it.
